sales forecast

sales forecast
Mktg
a prediction of future sales, based mainly on past sales performance. Sales forecasting takes into account the economic climate, current sales trends, company capacity for production, company policy, and market research. A sales forecast can be a good indicator of future sales in stable market conditions, but may be less reliable in times of rapid market change.
